Using Fengchao, remember three things first.

Thanks for choosing Fengchao. This agreement defines the service relationship between you and us when you install and use Fengchao (memory hive). Please read before use.

1. What Fengchao is

Fengchao is a local AI memory layer that runs on your computer. It captures the conversations, todos, docs, and rules you go through with your AI, stores them on your own machine, and lets any AI plug into your memory anytime.

2. License and payment

• Fengchao offers a 7-day free trial with full features during the trial.
• After the trial ends, it enters a hibernate read-only state: memory is always readable and exportable, only new writes are paused.
• Paying wakes it back to full features. Tiers and pricing are in-app.
• The fee is a "guardian / service fee" — for continuous maintenance, updates, and guarding of memory — not a "memory ransom." Fengchao never locks your data, ever.

3. Your data, your sovereignty

• Your memory exists only locally, never in the cloud, never owned by the operator.
• You may export, back up, migrate, and delete all your data at any time.
• Uninstalling Fengchao does not delete your memory (unless you choose to delete it).
• A forgotten privacy-vault password cannot be recovered — because even Fengchao doesn't know your password.

4. Usage boundaries

You agree not to use Fengchao for illegal activities. Fengchao has a built-in Gatekeeper Bee that blocks plaintext legal red-line content (explosives, drug trafficking, firearms, child sexual abuse material, terrorist attacks, human trafficking, etc.). This isn't censorship; it's Fengchao's own compliance baseline.

Personal memory content is your responsibility; Fengchao does not review content.

5. Disclaimer

• Fengchao is provided "as is," doing its best to guard your memory, but it does not promise absolute no-loss — please use the built-in backup regularly.
• You are the first line of data security: keep your machine, backups, and vault password safe.
• For losses from disk failure, misuse, or system faults, Fengchao provides recovery tools within its capability, but assumes no liability beyond the software's functional scope.

6. Service changes

Fengchao may adjust features or pricing with version upgrades. Major changes will be communicated via in-app notice. Licenses you've purchased are unaffected by later price changes within their term.
